This page lists what the EP Apps website and apps use that is not only ours: fonts, Bible texts, algorithms and software, and the trademarks we mention. Everything not listed here, including the games, puzzles, card and tile drawings, sounds made by our apps and the website code, is original work by EP Apps. Fonts

The website and apps use fonts licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1 (full text). Each license page below also gives the exact copyright notice of the font.

Inter, copyright The Inter Project Authors. Used on the website and in the Sudoku app. Source: Google Fonts. The Inter font file we host for the Sudoku site is unmodified; its license text is at /sudoku/assets/OFL-Inter.txt.
Nunito, copyright The Nunito Project Authors. Used on the website and in the Solitaire and Mahjong Solitaire apps. Source: Google Fonts. The copy hosted for the Mahjong Solitaire site is unmodified; its license text is at /mahjong/assets/OFL-Nunito.txt.
Roboto Condensed, copyright The Roboto Project Authors. Used in the Solitaire app. Source: Google Fonts.
Noto Serif TC, copyright The Noto Project Authors. A subset of 24 characters is used for the tiles in the Mahjong Solitaire app. Modified (subset), as the license permits. Source: Google Fonts.

Fonts that the website loads from Google Fonts are served by Google. Our marketing images may use fonts installed on our computers; those fonts are not distributed.

Sudoku: Pure Logic Puzzles

The puzzle generator, the puzzle bank, the step-by-step solver, the board design, the themes, the app icon and the website tools are original EP Apps work. No puzzles were copied from any collection.
The technique guides and the pictures in them are our own text and drawings. The example positions come from our own puzzles.

Solitaire: Classic Klondike

The cards, the table themes, the app icon, the website game, the winnable deal lists (made by our own solver) and the three app sounds (synthesized by us from noise and sine waves, with no recordings or samples) are original EP Apps work. No third-party images or recordings are used.
Shuffling uses Mulberry32, a small public domain random number generator, with a Fisher-Yates shuffle. The rules of Klondike are not owned by anyone.
Fonts: Nunito and Roboto Condensed in the app, Inter on the website (see above).

Mahjong Solitaire: Calm Tiles

The tiles, symbols, layouts, themes, app icon and sound effects are original EP Apps work. Tile faces are drawn in code and no tile artwork or layout was copied from other apps. The sounds are synthesized from sine waves and filtered noise.
The Tortoise layout is the classic stepped pyramid shape, defined by us from its well known tile counts.

Bible Daily Verse

The app and the verse of the day on the website use three translations. The Bible texts come from eBible.org and github.com/thiagobodruk/bible.

King James Version (KJV), 1611 / 1769 edition. Public domain, except in the United Kingdom, where it is under the Crown's letters patent.
Reina-Valera 1909. Public domain ("Dominio Público"), per eBible.org.
Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE), used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. The credit the authors ask for, word for word:

The authors of Bíblia Livre do not endorse the changes below. A shared or copied verse ends with "(BLIVRE)".

Changes made to the texts. We change presentation, never wording. KJV: a stray space before punctuation is removed. Reina-Valera 1909 and Bíblia Livre: square brackets around supplied words are removed, and the all-capitals opening word of each chapter in Reina-Valera 1909 is set in normal case. All texts: en and em dashes become hyphens, spacing is normalized, and empty placeholder verses at the end of a chapter are dropped.

Baby White Noise

The in-browser noise generator on the website is original EP Apps code.

Software in the apps

Our Android apps are built with open source software, including Flutter and packages from pub.dev, under Apache 2.0, BSD and MIT licenses. Below is the complete list of copyright notices and license texts for each app, the same list the app shows in Settings, Licenses. The code of these packages is inside the apps, which is why the list is long. The website itself loads no third-party code libraries, apart from Google Analytics for visit statistics, which runs only if you accept it in the cookie bar.

Trademarks

Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. Android is a trademark of Google LLC.
Microsoft and Windows are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. We mention Microsoft Solitaire only to describe the history of the game and a scoring system that many people know.
Names of traditional card games and puzzles, such as Klondike, Spider, FreeCell, Pyramid, TriPeaks, Golf, Yukon, Mahjong and Sudoku, are used to describe those games.
All other names are the property of their owners. EP Apps is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.
