How to play Snake
Snake takes seconds to learn. Here is everything the game does.
Short answer
Steer the snake with the arrow keys, WASD or a swipe. Eating a red dot makes the snake one cell longer and adds one point. The game ends if the head touches a wall (in walls mode) or any part of the snake's body.

Rules
- The snake starts with 3 cells in the middle, facing right, and waits until your first move.
- You cannot turn straight back into your own neck.
- Each red dot adds one cell to the snake and one point.
- In walls mode, touching the border ends the game. In no-walls mode, the snake wraps around.
- Touching your own body ends the game. The cell your tail just left is safe.
- Fill the entire board and you win.
Speed and score
Choose slow, normal or fast. The speed does not change during a game. The best score is saved separately for each speed and for walls and no-walls mode, in your browser.
