TriPeaks solitaire rules
TriPeaks is a fast, relaxed solitaire game. You clear cards from three peaks by matching a rank higher or lower.
TriPeaks solitaire has 28 cards in three overlapping peaks and 24 in a stock. You remove an exposed card from a peak if it is one rank higher or lower than the top card of the waste, and that card becomes the new waste card. You win when all three peaks are cleared.
The setup
Deal 28 cards into three overlapping peaks, with 3, 6, 9 and 10 cards in the four rows. Only the bottom row is face up at first. The remaining 24 cards form the stock. Turn one over to start the waste.
How to play
- An exposed peak card can go to the waste if it is one rank higher or lower than the waste card, in any suit.
- The card you play becomes the new waste card.
- When no card matches, turn over a card from the stock.
- Cards turn face up as the cards covering them are removed.
- Win by clearing all three peaks.
Streaks
Many versions score a streak: the more cards you clear in a row without drawing, the more points each one earns. A long streak is the main way to score high.
Tips
- Plan a chain of matches before you play, so you do not break the streak.
- Open the peaks evenly, rather than clearing one while the others stay covered.
- Save the stock for when you need it.
