Size, colors and error correction
Made in your browser. What you enter is not sent or saved.
Enter your name and the details you want to share, then download the code. Scanning it with a phone camera offers to save the contact with those details.
What goes in the code
The code holds a vCard, the standard contact card format. This tool writes vCard 3.0 with your name, company, job title, phone, email and website. Only the fields you fill in are included.
Tips
- Share only what you are comfortable sharing, since anyone who scans the code reads it all.
- More fields make a denser code that needs more size to scan reliably. For a business card, name, phone, email and website are usually enough.
- Include the country code in phone numbers, for example +1 for the United States.
Because the code is static, it cannot be changed after printing. If your details change, make a new code.
Frequently asked questions
Which phones support vCard QR codes?
Current iPhone and Android cameras recognize contact codes and offer to add the contact. Behavior can differ slightly between devices.
Are non-Latin names supported?
Yes. The text is stored as UTF-8, so names in Hebrew, Japanese, Cyrillic or accented letters work. Test with your own phone to be sure.
