Wi-Fi QR code generator
Enter the network name and password and download a code that guests can scan to connect.
With a logo, error correction is set to High automatically. The logo stays in your browser and is not uploaded.
Size, colors and error correction
Made in your browser. What you enter is not sent or saved.
Enter your network name (SSID), choose the security type and enter the password, then download the code. Most current phones offer to join the network when the camera scans it.
How it works
The code holds a short text in a standard Wi-Fi format: the network name, the security type and the password. When a phone scans it, the phone reads that text and offers to join the network. Nothing is sent to us, and the password is only inside the image you download.
Security types
- WPA/WPA2/WPA3: the usual choice for home and office networks.
- WEP: an old, weak standard. Only choose it if your equipment requires it.
- No password: an open network.
Keep in mind
- Anyone who can scan the code can read the password from it. Print it where only the people you want can see it.
- If you change the Wi-Fi password, make a new code. A static code does not update itself.
- Tick "Hidden network" only if your network does not broadcast its name.
For a link or plain text, use the main QR code generator.
Frequently asked questions
Does this work on iPhone and Android?
Current versions of both can join a network from a Wi-Fi QR code by scanning with the camera. Very old devices may need a QR scanner app.
Is my Wi-Fi password sent to you?
No. The code is created in your browser and the password is never sent to a server.
