QR Code Generator

Free, private, no expiry

QR code generator

Turn a link or text into a QR code and download it as PNG or SVG. It is made on your device and never expires.

Size, colors and error correction

Made in your browser. What you enter is not sent or saved.

Short answer

Type or paste your link or text, check the preview, and download the code as PNG or SVG. These are static codes: the content is inside the image, so there is no account, no redirect and no expiry date.

Static, never expires

The code holds your content directly. It does not go through our servers, so it keeps working as long as the link or text itself does.

Made on your device

The code is created in your browser. What you type is not sent to us and no scan data is collected, because there is nothing to track.

Also for Wi-Fi, contacts and chat

Dedicated pages build codes for Wi-Fi networks, contact cards, WhatsApp chats and email, in the formats phones understand.

Guides

Test before you print

Always scan the code with a real phone before you print it or share it. Check that it opens the right page and that it still scans at the size and distance you plan to use. The scanning checklist lists what usually goes wrong.

Frequently asked questions

Is this QR code generator free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many codes you make.

Will my QR code expire?

No. These are static QR codes. The content is stored in the pattern itself, so the code works for as long as the link or text it holds is valid. Some other services create dynamic codes that point to their own server and stop working when a subscription ends. This generator does not do that.

Do you track scans?

No. A static code cannot be tracked because it does not pass through our servers. If you need scan statistics, use a service that makes dynamic codes, with the trade-offs described in this guide.

Which format should I download?

Use SVG for print and large formats because it stays sharp at any size. Use PNG for websites, documents and presentations. Both contain the same code.

Can I put a logo in the middle?

Yes. Add a logo under the code. The generator then switches to the highest error correction level and tests the finished code by scanning it in your browser. A logo of 20 to 25 percent of the width usually works well. Always test the printed code with a real phone. Your logo is not uploaded.
