How it works
The code holds a link of the form https://wa.me/<number>, plus the message if you add one. When scanned, the phone opens WhatsApp with a chat to that number. This is WhatsApp's own public link format, so there is no connection to our servers.
Number format
- Use the international format with the country code, for example +1 555 123 4567. Spaces, dashes and the plus sign are removed for you.
- Do not add leading zeros for the country code.
- The person scanning needs WhatsApp installed.

Can the message be pre-filled?
Yes. Add text in the message field. The person scanning still has to press send.
Is my number sent to you?
No. The link is built in your browser. Anyone who scans the code will see the number, so use a number you are happy to share.
